Dr. Carrie knew she wanted to be an orthodontist from a very young age. Having experienced extensive orthodontic treatment herself as a child, she uniquely appreciates the perfect blend of art and science that comes together in the development of a beautiful smile. She also loves watching her patients' confidence grow as they go through the process of orthodontics. As she continues to practice, she has found that the opportunity to build long-lasting and strong relationships with patients and their families has proven to be one of the most rewarding aspects of her profession.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with honors, Dr. Carrie earned her DDS degree at the University of Michigan, where she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. She then did her a three year residency in Orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she also earned a master's degree in Oral Sciences. She stays involved in her professional societies as a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, and the Illinois Society of Orthodontists.
When not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband, Vijay, who is an orthopedic surgeon in the process of completing his fellowship in sports medicine. They enjoy traveling, exploring the city (and restaurants!) of Chicago, fitness, and downhill skiing. Dr. Carrie and her husband currently live in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago.
